Little do they know their English roots lie beneath their feet and it is not the Smith tombstone but the Whitlock!

If you trace the ancestor of Polly Rockwell back you come to the Rockwells that lived in Ridgefield with Thomas Rockwell married to Ruth Whitlock. There is even a Rockwell street in Ridgefield which I use to jog on.
