New DS Poem

August 23, 2017

Even when I'm not in Kyoto I dream of Kyoto I dreamed I was riding on a ski lift But suddenly I went straight up With the pull of a silvercord It was like a bunge cord but Was powered by a magic square wench It could pull me straight up and down Whereas the ski lift was going sideways I went up to the top of the mountain Where there were Japanese style buildings I guess when you get to heaven you have to take your shoes off. Even in Kyoto— Hearing the cuckoo's cry— I long for Kyoto. Basho
