Poem:

To sit still like a dead tree log and have your kundalini go straight up your spine is sublime. You can admire your own meditation and find it beneficial. It is better than having the Alaska pipeline. You can cultivate inner bliss with pleasure. How can enlightenment be seen as narcissistic when the unenlightened are almost completely helpless in taking action. They wander around lost in a fog with no direction. Life is very different. A concentrated mind is highly coordinated. The mind would just wander off into a bucket list if it was not regularly reconnected. There is only one bucket list and it is right in the center of your head. Even if you completed the bucket list soon there would be a new off the beaten path bucket list generated in your head. Of the thousand places most are too expensive. I was able to go to 50 a day just on google images. The constant thinking about another place can be a disgrace. Maybe a Zen Master can create a program where you get over it quickly. The highly intellectual often read a book instead. I like to practice being dead. When you become completely empty you have great potential. The Professional has a plan for the day which is to enter into meditation for an eternity. He never has anything planned after meditation. He acts as if he will never return instead. The Mind takes six hours as being an eternity so you can schedule an activity six hours after meditation. What is a Zen Master master of? Mostly mind games. When you come to my meditation class you don’t eat anything before hand and don’t have anything scheduled after. Having something after could poison the atmosphere. Self Admiration is not contemplation. You just become empty. Maybe you should eat something after. You could get rest prior to the next time you practice being dead. Every morning is a big deal. Yes, very much so. In fact, āshūb (آشوب)—that state of inward agitation, divine restlessness, and love-induced disturbance—is one of the places where Rumi and Sant Darshan Singh Ji come surprisingly c

Ashub

Yes. The English paraphrase on the page (“If you are not handsome then be Jacob”) captures the basic idea, but some of the richness of Rumi’s Persian is hidden. The crucial verse is: تو که یوسف نیستی
