History:

Here is an old aerial view of the Smith Farm. You can see the pond is not full and is new at this point sometime in the early sixties? The grass is not fully grown around it. There is still a “back barn”. You can see the white images of sheep & their beaten down paths. The beloved Mulberry tree is still standing next to the woodshed and above the working garden. We used to spend hours climbing that tree and eating mulberries. There is still standing a large tree at the base of the driveway. The drive is still not paved. You can see a load of hay with a hay baler pulled by a 350 international tractor. There is a white Chicken Coop next to the tractor. An Acacia tree used to stand in front of the garage in addition to the other two. In the big Red Barn was Dad’s seed business with all the bags of seeds. With our cousins we would run between the bags and make Devil Rambunctious-the collie dog with Alice. In the other photo with the same 350 tractor we see again Dad with the three boys at the back barn corn crib. Yes the corn was on the cob. Mom is with Dale and Rich and the sheep.
