Poem:

The natural state of the body is electric. If the body is healthy everything is flowing, the chinese talk about meridiens and channels. That’s the beauty of regular practice. When you wake up the river will be flowing and flowing up. It is like you get on a boat. You can float to your third eye instead of struggling and screaming. It is like Walt Whitman’s body electric. You need to have strong intentions and not be slothful. The will power gets stronger with regular charging. The Will can’t take you up but it can help you discriminate. It is a strange mystery but sitting still with precision is a rare art but when it occurs it is sublime and has been since the beginning of time. What is strange is the availability and simplicity. Enlightenment tends to dominate when it comes to achievement. It turns out God exists after all but mainly seen in his representative like Christ power, light and sound. You have a method for building up momentum by Simran to get to those higher states. It is just that you have to show up for role call. The faith that you need is in Yoga that it provides a method of Union. You try a process and see what happens. You don’t just jump to the end but instead start a routine. Getting rid of distractions is part of the greater action. Transcendental bliss is the secret to dieting - if you start out completely satisfied before you have even eaten what a shortcut haha. It is like eating inside your brain on another plane. DS Poem December 3, 2018

Emily Dickinson Saying 70, the Gospel of Thomas, quoted on page 23 of “Why Religion” by Elaine Pagels: Jesus said, “if you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”

Yes, very much so. In fact, āshūb (آشوب)—that state of inward agitation, divine restlessness, and love-induced disturbance—is one of the places where Rumi and Sant Darshan Singh Ji come surprisingly c

Ashub

Yes. The English paraphrase on the page (“If you are not handsome then be Jacob”) captures the basic idea, but some of the richness of Rumi’s Persian is hidden. The crucial verse is: تو که یوسف نیستی
