Free Time

The Purpose of free time is not to waste it. You can go back into deep meditation. In my elite monastery you can sometimes read a book or play the piano. Non self derived media is jostling and can damage the brain. It is best to be both the producer and the director. You could try 2100 yoga asanas or just go into Samadhi. You can reach such a simplified level that you just sit in afternoon Sun and do nothing. You can spend part of the day decluttering. The house can always use more cleaning. You could make lentil soup or cook beans. I like jogging, volleyball and handball and now have added tennis. Many enlightened mystics are addicted to cosmic nectar so in the late afternoon they will return to drinking. They get more power by sitting while the Sun is setting. It is like going to a juicer and getting a green smoothy. At my monastery there is no yesterday or tomorrow. Prior to going to India or Chicago you could lose weight all the down to like when you were 24. You could do Simran for longer hours. You could make you knees bend like they were elastic. You could go to the pool with your new googles. A Poem by David Smith April 1, 2019
