Meditating at Three is a worthwhile gamble Poem: Meditating at three is a worthwhile gamble because you have very little to lose. Meditation is better than sleep so sleep is not needed. You have everything to gain. Cosmic Consciousness is the main thing. And according to John Main mantra repeating could be like breathing and eating - routine. You could open up your gift package from God - your human body. If you achieve nothing in meditation it will be exactly the same as if you had not. The way you go to an alternative universe is by not moving. You have to go into a cloud of unknowing. The way through your brain is right down the middle. When the Third Eye starts working it becomes a given. If you want to be a Big Star then maybe you should just start looking for it inside your head. You can continue to do Simran while in bed. You can start to do moon gazing just inside your head like a Japanese Buddhist. The casual plane can become your mainstay with the physical just considered temporary. Instead of thinking about what you are gonna do you can just become enlightened. In a way early morning meditation is like joining the military and standing still and paying attention at roll-call. The discipline in line could actually make you into a disciple. You can be like a retired General who has become a very active civilian who took up contemplation. You could write poetry like Amir Khusrau. Instead of being frightened of death you could just go there and conquer it. A Poem by David R.
