Retro Racket: Poem: When your meditation practice has become like an iron factory you don’t have any slippage. You rarely have any waste. You burn up everything in haste. In fact haste is waste. You feel no shame. No one is put to blame. Others are knocked out for an hour. It is good to transform at the top of the hour. Instead of sleeping you can go to a meeting. The road was smooth to Jove’s place. Sitting in Lotus posture is monumental and a lot better than going to Utah. You can be the champion of the whole world without going anywhere. You can do Simran in time with the coocooClock. You can empower your Soul within your body. You can get your Doctorate in overcoming Sloth Gluttony Lust and overachieving. Emptyhood does not cost you a song. You can make the choice to withdraw in Ecstasy. By the time of your Death you could have advanced along the Path of that which is minimal. You can go right up to the Top without having to make a stop. You can leave little markers which are autobiographical. You can write about Wine that comes about as a result of going up your spine and not moving. You can change your name to SatNaam and just Sing. You can go into your meditative retreat room and just sing a hymn. It is easier to fast when you are poor and have nothing to eat. At the top of the hour you can drill a tunnel with your penetrative power. You can stick with the old car and not get another. You can aline yourself to the East sort of like a priest. In the early morning you can reconcile your positions and generate alternative power. You can sit by the doorway and transform instead of take the highway. There is no need to conform. Sitting on the floor is the same thing as the Transcendental attitude. A minimalist hotel room in Chicago might be ideal. To be a hip and cool minimalist you might need to have a retro racket and wear a thin jacket. The opposite of stillness is not sloth it is motion. Yes, very much so. In fact, āshūb (آشوب)—that state of inward agitation, divine restlessness, and love-induced disturbance—is one of the places where Rumi and Sant Darshan Singh Ji come surprisingly c
