The Specialist It is difficult to be in a relationship with me because of my specialized knowledge. My inner emotional connection is mostly to Beethoven and Schubert. I act like a two-bit scribe working with St Augustine. I even feel a connection to the Spanish. I also greatly admire Buddha. I am detached and contemplative. You can’t get from me what you want. I am best off practicing Zen. I prefer my futon and Zabuton to be cool. I have a long morning session, then enjoy afternoon meditation followed by evening. After meals I tend to get more lazy. I tend to like scripture even though (Thoreau) it is out of fashion. Just doing Simran is very similar to just being gone. When times get tough the regular devotee gets extra grace. According to Nanak no one can get to God without it. Reaching Perfection in contacting the Divine is something you do by managing your Time. Also by sitting in the correct upright erect posture like Buddha. You can construct your own Interior Castle and find out what is possible. The purpose of Life may be just to sit and not complain. An active exercise routine will “balance” your “centers” and satisfy Gurdjieff. You can access the Beautiful by just playing Beethoven and Schubert. Your Absolute could just be Oblivion. You can turn your physical plane Annihilation into a Spiritual one and ascend into Heaven. You can eliminate your stuff so much that there are very few drawers to look for your stuff and you realize you almost have Nothing. You can develop a very big head to accompany your Ego. To eliminate your Ego you can sit a second time and prepare to enter a marathon. A Poem by David Smith December 15, 2019 #two-bit #scribe #beethoven #marathon #gurdjieff
