Yes — Google Sites can directly embed both Blogger and YouTube, and it works very smoothly. This is actually one of the best ways to make a private or semi-private music / writing site. 🎹📖

1. Embedding YouTube videos (very easy)

In Google Sites:

Steps

  1. Open your Site

  2. Click Insert → YouTube

  3. Paste your YouTube link or search

  4. Click Insert

  5. Resize and place it

Advantages

  • Updates automatically

  • Plays directly on your site

  • Can be private or unlisted videos

Tip: Upload Ableton recordings as Unlisted on YouTube so only invited viewers can see them.

2. Embedding Blogger (creates a real blog inside your site)

This gives you true blog features:

  • dated posts 📅

  • archive

  • labels/categories

  • easy writing

Steps

  1. Create a blog at Blogger.com

  2. Open your Google Site

  3. Click Insert → Embed

  4. Paste your Blogger blog URL

  5. Insert

Your blog will appear inside the site page.

3. Privacy works together

You can make everything restricted:

  • Google Site → share only with invited emails

  • Blogger → set to private readers only

  • YouTube → set videos to Unlisted or Private

This creates a fully controlled private environment.

4. Example structure for a music / writing site

Home

  • Introduction

Music

  • Embedded YouTube performances

  • Ableton compositions

Blog

  • Embedded Blogger feed (journal, reflections)

Writings

  • Embedded Google Docs essays

About / Contact

5. Major advantage for musicians using Ableton + Arturia

You can:

  • Record in Ableton Live

  • Export audio

  • Upload to YouTube

  • Embed instantly

No need for web hosting or coding.

6. One important limitation

Google Sites itself has:

  • no automatic blog system

But Blogger provides those if enabled.

If you’d like, I can show a very minimal “private music studio website” setup that takes under 30 minutes and works beautifully from a MacBook.
