Jhimm Jhimm

Poem:

The only real safe haven is Buddha’s. You can suck on the Jhimm Jhimm drip drip of inner nectar. You can move your bank account but it will still end up empty. The recitation of the holy Names can be your God channel. In the evening you can prepare your body to be a platform by various asanas. In the morning you can launch instead of just having no response. On the birthday of Sawan you can just decide to leave the earth. You can be very head strong and build your own compound. The highest form of the simpleton is to just breathe and do Simran. Though this simpleton is a God. If I wasn’t an extreme mystic I would want to be an extreme intellectual. I would gather up scholarly books and live in Cambridge or Oxford. I could still play tennis on clay or grass. Instead of damaging the joints in my back in a car I could just walk. You can work on the perfection of your light switch as your main hobby. After the completion of Simran, celibacy and quarantine it is guaranteed your Soul will rise. You will not find the solution up in the Adirondacks. You can become attached to the inner sky. You can survive covid by staying home and meditating, playing Bach and tennis.

A Poem by David Smith

"Overcoming and giving up outward tendencies, stilling the mind and dying while alive is not easy. The inner gate opens only when the outer gates are closed. There is no other way to get in. People wish to continue to run out through the outer gates and also wish to get into the inner. This is impossible. Two things cannot happen at the same time. One is to be given up to achieve the other. "

- Hazur Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj (July 27, 1858- April 2, 1948)
