Poem:

People always have a focus which is on something other than the Sahans-dal kanwal lotus. This is unfortunate because deep inside is a tunnel which leads to a new horizon. I like to be there at sunrise. Every ounce of your energy should be in that direction. This is real wisdom. My Guru’s divine light is the culmination of my life. If you make your meditation you have gained everything. It is nice to discover within you a sweet treasure. I’m only just a beginner and I have been practicing for forty-three years. Maybe God will have some mercy because my plight is pathetic. I follow a long twisted path when the correct one is straight and narrow. Maybe poetry can cut a way through my head. There is no real hope but to spiral towards annihilation. Thought out words are never right. The right words are cut with a knife. It is best to leave human beings behind altogether. The human mind can not process light. My Guru is so gracious it is outrageous. He is a Sant in the Sikh tradition. He has carried on Guru Nanak’s faith. When he likes to write I just dictate. The end of my life will be an extreme triumph! DS Poem July 18, 2018 Tommy leaves for Costa Rica

Gratitude feedback loop

That line from Masnavi reflects one of Jalal al-Din Rumi’s deepest psychological and metaphysical principles: gratitude is not merely moral politeness — it is an energetic amplifier of human capacity.
