Poem:

Today my focus is mantra, the teaching, more understanding and experiences. These four are classical. Sometimes when I awake I am slow it is because I ate late. Eventually the sluggishness will abate. The Chinese concern themselves with cultivating energy. If I had less weight my knees would have a better fate. The Tanden spot down to the feet is the answer to the koan Mu. Everything from the continent of China I do not even know. When I sit in meditation I can accumulate experiences. Of this I have Master’s approval. My mind is a fool and needs constant relearning instead of yearning, thus I restudy the teaching to find hidden meanings. I would be truly wise if I could erase all the filthy lies my mind and body told me. Hakuin is very funny when he mocks dead sitting passive unprofessionals. He believes strongly in action. His writings are actual. He believed in introspection. He would tell the Lord to cut the taxes. In modern parlance he is awesome and cool. Study of the scriptures brings life to dead tree stumps. It’s better to be a layman and practice in secret. You have more access to action. My blog is my message to the world to anyone who will listen, even though they are few. My site is optimized only in the sky. DS Poem July 21, 2018
