Poem:

Nirvana is something you do repeatedly It begins when you lock into position and go into stillness. To sit still sublime has more value than just to create another rhyme. I can use a Darshan hemistich as my Zen Koan. A favorite line can repeat in my head. It would please my Guru if I was already dead. Meditation is like trembling at your own end. Darshan says: “The flame has consumed the poor moth, and it trembles at the thought of its own end” We are supposed to already be burnt up. The way I see it is the physical body should already have been discarded. Extremely advanced mystic poetry can only be understood though extremely long meditation, otherwise it is just dry and wasted. Careful analysis of mystic poetry can only be done with no head and only after having been dead. Master’s poems are like a koan which we can attempt to understand. You can sun bathe inside your head and not turn red. Contemplation is both complicated and easy. It helps to do a lot of practice. If you try very often sometimes you go right straight into nirvana. It is a great way to lose weight because you lose all of it completely. Instead of becoming heavy you become empty. How much does that weight? Haha is that a new koan? I suppose koans were just trick questions to get you to meditate instead of think. A poem full of inspiration is probably better. DS Poem August 29, 2018 #santdarshansingh
