Poem:

Twas the full-moon before Christmas and nothing was determined. All the children were on their phones and not in their beds. There wasn’t any snow yet and the lights were only half way up. Some of us ate a Turkey and some of us did not. There was a warm fire with Cranberries and chestnuts. Some of us practiced Archery. It was very cold but somehow there was still mud on the dogs. The food was gourmet and delicious. Down in the dungeon three could play pool with a nine ball. It had all the comforts of home. Everyone was making plans in their heads. Some came from the City while others returned to the City. You could visit an Apple orchard. Most of the home was electronic and could be controlled with your iphone. One of the dogs was from Puerto Rico and had never seen Snow. Half of the conversation was in Greek. I was reading a book on Russia. In the early morning I sat still in the guest room, while down below Greek Mom read the bible in her YAYa room. After Coffee and Meditation I take the dogs for a long walk. Then in the basement I practice Yoga and balance beam ball lift. The game room has a piano. In the backyard is a pool on which I lost my volleyball but then the wind blow it. I bring special shoes and then pretend I am in Japan. When I take a jog up the road I am surrounded by Wolves and horses. Next door is the Great Gatsby’s house with a tennis court. When I drive home I pass by the White House on North Street in Greenwich. I like to drive slow and take the back roads so I can see the leaves fall. When Christmas arrives I would like to return by cross country -skiing. DS Poem November 26, 2018
