The Third Hour Poem: The third hour finally goes smooth - after two hours the Mind discards its junk. Kal has a two hour bad karma packet which you have to rollover all its racket. I wish I were a Saint and did not have so much garbage. An enlightened person knows the mind is very dumb and puts his feet on it with a drum. Absolute Stillness is a cure for neurosis and thrombosis. You can sink into the Divine after you have given up the concept of Time. Having an Ego is like being too big. Sort of like an unnecessary wig. Touching on the Sublime feels more like becoming miniature. It looks more like pinhole photography. Transcendental music can act as a vacuum and suck the soul up. The Sanskrit word for effort is Upaya. So Up comes from Upai. A Poem of David Smith February 6, 2019 The mob within the heart Police cannot suppress The riot given at the first Is authorized as peace Uncertified of scene Or signified of sound But growing like a hurricane In a congenial ground. Emily Dickinson Page 196, Kabir, Ch. Vaudeville Upaya-kaushalya is a concept emphasizing that practitioners may use their own specific methods or techniques that fit the situation in order to gain enlightenment. "Upa" is the word a small kid would say to ask you to take him in your arms. When you lift him, you in turn can say "¡Upaaaa!" Example: "El nene quiere upa", "Llevalo a upa" There comes an hour when begging stops, When the long interceding lips Perceive their prayer is vain. “Thou shalt not” is a kinder sword Than from a disappointing God “Disciple, call again.” Emily Dickinson
