The purpose of learning Poem: The purpose of learning is the fixing of right understanding which leads to steady gazing with certainty. The long-term practitioner gets it and others wonder how he got it. He got it by being a long-term practitioner in the work of contemplation. You get it by completing 10,000 hours. You can create bubbly within your chest. You can get a PH D in just sitting still like a dead tree stump. It is not an “Ego Trick” which just makes you neck stiff. It is self-authenticating. Some people think the self is some sort of mystical pearl. You can soak yourself in the Master’s words and then just regurgitate them like some sort of bird. Harmony can be heard in the further reaches of your brain. Philosophers and psychologists are finally starting to define the Self more like that of Buddha. By meditating you can neutralize regret. You can forget about the rest. You can overwhelm your mind with bliss. You can do Simran at anytime. Your body can form a tripod for an all-seeing eye. A Poem by David R.
