Dead Sitting Do Nothing Zen Poem: Dead sitting do nothing Zen is something even if not as great as the Supreme Way, at least it is beginning. That’s why I can appreciate it. Once you are awake it is no longer dead but very much alive and is certainly doing something. The Mind starts to desire the Good. Modern machines still are disrupting the quiet even at Walden. Thoreau’s writings are both thorough and current. Nowadays you can use technology to more thoroughly go back to the woods. You can compact your food and insulate your body. With molecular machines you can control the bugs. That’s why you can hike right through without any pain. The top of the head is very similar to the top of the mountain. You could meditate at the top and double feel a sense of accomplishment. You can kindle your fire with the Journals of Thoreau. Life without meditation is like driving with the brakes on. But when it takes 10,000 hours to get anywhere who is gonna attempt it. Remembrance of things past is of no consequence if you can go above Time. Memories are only in the brain. You can just leave behind your pain. Modern hikers are un phased by the rain with their modern technology. When you are advanced you can meditate in a laboratory even under scrutiny. When you are free of Sugar you can feel your toes and fingers without any numbness. My principle platitudes are just about quietude.
