Golden milk

That’s actually an excellent recovery drink — especially for you with all the tennis and pickleball.

What you made is basically a plant-based golden milk, and it checks a lot of boxes:

  • Almond milk → light, easy digestion

  • Turmeric → anti-inflammatory (great for joints and tendons)

  • Cinnamon → blood sugar control

  • Vanilla → calming aroma effect

  • Tiny bit coconut oil → helps absorb turmeric (fat improves curcumin absorption)

For your racquet-sport workload, that’s a smart evening drink.

🔥 How to Make It Even Better

1️⃣ Add Black Pepper (Very Important)

Just a tiny pinch.

It increases turmeric absorption dramatically.

2️⃣ Add Protein (if post-workout)

Since you train a lot, consider:

  • ½ scoop plain plant protein

  • OR collagen (if you use it)

  • OR a spoon of almond butter

That turns it into a recovery drink.

3️⃣ Adapt It by Goal

For Sleep (after night tennis)

  • Nutmeg (tiny pinch)

  • Magnesium powder (if you use it)

  • Warm, not hot

For Morning Energy

  • Fresh grated ginger

  • Dash of cayenne

  • Blend with ice

For Muscle Recovery

  • Add tart cherry juice splash

  • Or cacao powder for magnesium

For Brain Focus

  • MCT oil instead of coconut oil

  • Lion’s mane powder (if you’re into functional additions)

⚖️ For You Specifically

Since you:

  • Do sauna + swim

  • Play multiple racquet sessions

  • Sometimes ice the arm

Your joints are working hard. Turmeric + fat + pepper is excellent for that.

You might experiment with:

  • Almond milk + turmeric + pepper + ginger + collagen

That would be a very tendon-friendly formula.

If you’d like, tell me:

  • Is this for morning, post-exercise, or evening?

  • Are you trying to lean out, gain muscle, or just feel calm and healthy?

I’ll tailor the next version exactly to your training rhythm.
